Hello, and welcome to my blog. I'm a natural light photographer living in the Boise, Idaho area with my husband and 5 kids. I enjoy capturing images of all kinds, but I am truly in love with photographing newborn babies. The first days of life are precious and magical and so very fleeting. 10 : Nampa Idaho newborn photographer

I've was looking back at Stella's newborn pictures today and trying to remember what it was like to hold my tiny little baby. The newborn stage is so fleeting. It makes me sad. I took a lot of pictures of her when she was tiny. I'm so glad that I did, but there are lots of other things I wish I had tried. I was just so tired. Anyways, she's now 10 months old and almost walking. She's a lot of fun, but I so miss her when she was brand new.

I posted this picture in July, but I never really liked how I processed it. So I did a quick edit on it today and am liking it so much better.

My Stella. 10 days old.

Oh how I wish I could cuddle that perfect, sweet 6 pound baby girl just one more time. But since that's impossible, I'm going to go give my sweet 16 pound baby girl a squeeze and a million kisses right now. Oh how I love her!

I LOVE how tiny and perfect she is in that picture, though she is certainly adorable now! I wanted to take more newborn shots than I did, and now I'm kicking myself. Everything was so crazy and now she's 2 months and almost 12 lbs. She started out bigger and has grown so much faster than my boys. I have to remind myself that I can still get good pictures of her, they'll just be different.

So pretty! I agree-I look back and wish I had done so many more pictures of my baby girl when she was small! She just turned 2 this weekend! :( The edit is beautiful.

What a sweet write up Laura. Adorable. It does make you sad to think that it is in such a blink of an eye and they are grown. To have my 11yr old starting middle school next year makes me sad. Be grateful for these pics - I have none of Sadie when she was a baby like this. All just ugly studio ones. So you are blessed that way.Sweet picture. I have to say - the thing I love about photographing subjects is that the photos pull you into the pictures and take you to that exact moment. What more joy can you feel when you are photographing people than that?
