Hello, and welcome to my blog. I'm a natural light photographer living in the Boise, Idaho area with my husband and 5 kids. I enjoy capturing images of all kinds, but I am truly in love with photographing newborn babies. The first days of life are precious and magical and so very fleeting. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have at info@LauraFarrisPhotgraphy.com. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web :)

Getting so close

It's hard to believe I've only got a week until I get to meet my baby girl. In some ways it seems like this pregnancy has flown by and I don't feel quite prepared for it to be over. However, at times it feels like I've been pregnant forever. I can't wait for next week to come so I can finally hold this little girl for the first time. I'm really going to miss feeling her in my belly though. I know I'll never experience all of this again, ever, and that does make me a little bit sad. I think pregnancy is the most joyful thing I've gone through in life and the realization that this will be my last time is really hitting me. I'm so trying to enjoy every second I have left. I love every time I feel her move, (except when she hits a nerve and sends a shock down my leg.) But as much as I love that part of pregnancy. There is nothing like seeing my baby for the first time. The time I get to spend in the hospital, doing nothing but holding and staring at my very own baby is the best thing in the world. I am so blessed to be able to do that again. I feel like this baby is a such a gift. I love her so much already.

I better get off the computer now. I've still got so much to do before she comes! A big thank you to my husband Ross for taking these of me. I know I'm not easy to photograph! Love you!!!

As always, you look amazing. Can't wait to see all of her newborn photos, Stella's were such work of art.. Enjoy this last week with her just for yourself and best wishes for a happy and peaceful arrival.
PS: how neat you are naming her Gwen! One of your boy must be pretty happy about that (if I remember well)

You only look pregnant in your belly, that's so amazing for your 5th!! I'm glad you love pregnancy so much... someone has to like it! Listening to you go on about it almost makes me want to get pregnant again. If I could be guaranteed I'd have another girl like you are, I would do it. I love the name Gwen, I was hoping you would name her that. Can't wait to see her!

So so pretty. Can I ask how you do your wood background setup? It looks so real and good.

Thanks for the sweet comments. Sylvie, yes...both my boys are happy about the name. Melissa, the wood backdrop is wood paneling that I got from either home depot or lowes. I stained it and glued it together.
