I love love love the shallow depth of field it gives on close-ups.
In honor of Halloween I trapped a really hairy, creep, yucky spider in a jar and snapped this little gem.
And no, I didn't have the heart to squish him after looking into all four of his eyes. He almost seemed to have a personality, ya know? After debating over what I should do with him for an hour or so, I finally let him go in the front yard...as far from the house as possible of course.

Right about now I wish I'd taken the effort to plant some flowers in the yard this year. But I didn't so I had to make do with what we've got. Kinda boring though, I know.
I really have no clue what I'm doing with macro photography yet, but I'm having so much fun trying to figure it out.

Are you crazy!??!? I would have run so far from that freaky spider, you'd need binoculars to see it. Can't believe you let it go... it will come back in your house when it snows! Ick ugg... ew. Now I'm all itchy :)
That spider is disgusting, I can't believe it's real! You're amazing no matter what type of photography you're doing. My favorite is the one of Stella sucking her thumb, so adorable! Now I've got another lens on my list of must haves.

Ooooooo! How fun! I LOVE macro photography! I just did a big install at an investment firm of some macro flowers. They are toned B&W's on metallic paper. I really enjoyed the project. It's so fun to play with such shallow depth of field, isn't it!? Looks like you've got it down to me!!! Beautiful!
