This probably isn't one for the walls, but I think she looks too cute in this to not post this shot.

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I'm a natural light photographer living in the Boise, Idaho area with my husband and 5 kids. I enjoy capturing images of all kinds, but I am truly in love with photographing newborn babies. The first days of life are precious and magical and so very fleeting. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have at info@LauraFarrisPhotgraphy.com. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web :)

Sooooo pretty! I love them all, they're absolutely adorable. She's such a beautiful little girl too, they're perfect!
Oh my goodness, what a cutie! I love that last shot!
I asked on an earlier post, but curious to know if you retouch your newborns' skin.
thanks!
For some reason, there were a few comments that I published from different people but they never made it to the comments section of this post. Sorry about that. Erica, you asked about having an equipment/setting section under each post. I just don't have it in me to add that info for each post. I do however have a section at the top of my blog titled 'Photography advice' where I list the equipment I use. For indoor pictures, I generally shoot with the 50mm 1.4 with an aperture between 1.4-2.2. When I'm shooting outside, I almost always use my 85mm 1.4 and shoot at about a 1.6-2.0 when I've got one subject. When I'm shooting a group, I usually shoot between 2.8-4.
Robin, I do touch up newborn blochy skin, scratches and baby acne using the clone tool. I will sometimes also run a light portraiture over the skin brushing it off the hair, lips, and eyes.
I hope that helps! -Laura
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing some of your tricks! I ask because your work is beautiful and to even come within a mile of yours would be a dream come true.
